The season began with
the first of four OPEN tournaments and it opened with a bang!
The Bray brothers shattered the FOCAS record with over 26 pounds of bass....

After
a club tournament being cancelled a couple of weeks before, it was time for
the 2nd OPEN tournament of 2010.
Eric Foister and Kevin Willour found
some Lake Barkley bass to claim first place honors with over 20 pounds of
largemouth. This tourney had Sam Henry and Kyle McElhaney land the
Big Bass in FOCAS history with a 7.79 bucketmouth......

Bruce Higbee's Choice
club tournament started with storms, wind, and downpours. These
combinations left most anglers at home. However, the skies cleared and James and Mason Shelton landed
9 pounds to win....

The
April 24th club tourney saw high winds and storms and the May "Church
Leadership Appreciation" event was cancelled with the lakes closing, so a
month and half later, four boats showed up a Eddy Creek for the Rob Weber's
Choice club tournament. James Shelton's lone bass took the whole

With a
full moon in the skies, FOCAS decided to begin the night fishing activities
in late May. After a two hour storm, the skies cleared and the
moon was bright. The Kline brothers found a good 15 pound
stringer to take top honors....

The
8th Annual FOCAS Kids Fishing
Derby kicked off at 8:00am with 14 children looking for good fish to make
their day. At 11:00, it was time to count, weigh, and
release the fish before the cook-out.....(click

The
second club night tournament began with a pork chop sandwich and no weather
related problems! James and Mason landed three
keepers in the final 20 minutes to seal the win.....

The first OPEN night tournament of the summer ended up being very close
finish. Chuck Rounds and Danny York brought in five nice
smallies totaling more than 17 pounds.....(results)

FOCAS decided to have a little fun with one of the
night tournaments by altering the rules from the traditional 5 fish limit.
For this event, a team could bring 3 fish to the scales, but at least
one had to be from each person. If a team member did not catch a
keeper, then only two fish can be entered for the team total.
Sam and Kyle played the rules to perfection...

beautiful night provided a comfortable atmosphere for the anglers.
There were five pots up for grabs and five different teams took a part of

The second OPEN night tournament of the summer brought in the top two
weights in FOCAS night fishing history. The duo of Chuck Rounds
and Danny York took home their 2nd victory of the summer, but this time with

The final night tournament of the season found a good bite. In fact,
the team of James Shelton and Robert Stinson landed the FOCAS club night
tournament record with over 17 pounds. In addition, Doc Wagoner and

New for this year was
this Classic Event to reward the anglers that participated in at least 5
events throughout the season. Eight of the 11 eligible members participated
under gorgeous skies. The bite was very tough but with James and Mason used
finesse techniques to lure in a modest 7 pounds of fish to lead the
