OPEN Night Tourney |
| July 27, 2007 The first Open tournament sponsored by FOCAS proved to match most of the club night tournaments......WEATHER! With beautiful weather all week, the weather changed on Friday afternoon and skies opened up on Friday night. Although the winds and rain made fishing conditions tough, many anglers had a good time of catching some nice bass. Coming in a very health limit of largemouth bass was the team of Parvis Price and Allen Parish. The visiting Mississippi weighed in 19.92 pounds anchored by the heaviest fish of the tournament weighing 6.38 pounds. The battle for second place proved to be very close with Jeff Schuzer and Troy Underwood (14.43 pounds) edging out Clint Huntsman and Tom Bartlett (14.42 pounds). Clint and Tom needed one more fish to go with their other 4 nice bass. In fact, they had a 6.1 largemouth and a 4.09 smallmouth, which was good enough to claim the Big Smallmouth Pot.
